When asked to choose my favourite verse I automatically said yes. However, when I sat down to write, it proved more difficult than I thought. At different times in my life various verses have helped me in decisions I have had to make. So as I have to pick one then this is what I have chosen. It is Phillipians Chapter 4 verse 6.
' Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.'
In everything we do, we first of all should put it before God in prayer, looking for His guidance in the path we should take or the decisions we have to make. We may not like the answer that is given but God is with us every step of the way.
On the occasions where I have not made the time to talk with God properly then things that I have planned or decisions I have made have not gone according to plan. God tells us in this verse we should not be anxious - but only if we take everything to Him in prayer.
My life can be very busy at times between work and in my service to God through Girls' Brigade, so I have to disipline myself to take quality time with God, remembering that if I do then this verse will come to fruition.Comment by Maureeen Wilson.
