The Sunday
School welcomes all children of Primary School age.
All departments meet during the morning service (10.30am) and are split into
age groups as follows:
BEGINNERS:
Pre-school children age 3 - end of Primary 1
PRIMARY: Primary 2- Primary 4
SENIORS: Primary 5- Secondary 1
Sunday School follows Scripture Union Teaching material and each department learns at the appropriate level for their age group. We try to make learning fun and have activities relative to the particular Bible story of the week. This includes games, songs, crafts and much more.
All departments come into church for approximately the first 10 - 15 minutes, during which time a children's address is given before they leave for their own class.
We have family services at Easter, Harvest, Christmas and Promotion Services and all the children stay in church for the service which is usually shorter and more children orientated. The children often take part in these services - singing, presenting drama, which they seem to enjoy along with the congregation!
From the
middle of June until the end of August each year, the Summer Sunday School
takes over to give the regular staff a well-earned rest! This means that there's
always something for children on a Sunday morning no matter what the time
of year.
